ACE, Bludgeon & Freebies!

Thanks again to all who sopped by our table at Albuquerque Comic Expo, and especiaally big thanks to those of you who purchased the new book (or any of my merch or sketches for that matter). See you again next year!

Now, in honor of the July 4th holiday I'm going to be including a free 8.5" x 11" full color print of the pinup Andrew Mark did for Bludgeon #0 (colored by the fantastic Tyler Cheeseman) with the next 10 orders! These were printed exclusively for ACE 2011 and I have exactly 10 of them left... so order quick! I also have bookmarks of various Burly and Bludgeon designs that I will be randomly throwing into all orders til they run out as well.

Working on a print to be for sale next month. The graphic above is a teaser :) for those of you who purchased BURLY #1 its will be a full-color 11x17 print of page 2. Signed and numbered of course. haven't decided how many to print yet but it will be limited.

Hey folks! Submitted an entry to a contest to be part of the audiobook for Neil Gaiman's "American Gods" 10th anniversary. COMING SOON!

Just an update to let everyone know that Burly Press is going to be at Albuquerque Comic Expo (June 24th-26th)! If you're planning to attend, look fur me in Artist's Alley selling what's left of BURLY #1, and the new Bludgeon #0 (and perhaps some prints and stuff). Going to be sharing a table with my collaborator and editor, Greg Freeland, as well as my buddy Andy from Denver (who will be promoting his upcoming book).

Looks like its gonna be a pretty rad convention. Stan Lee will be there on Saturday... and i'm pretty stoked about Jeremy Bulloch myself (if you know me you know I love the Fett).  For more details and a full list of guests check out abqcomicexpo.com

And speaking of Bludgeon #0... Keep an eye out for a preorder link in the next month or so. I'll start taking preorders when I have the book ready to print... partially to help fund the print, but also to know how many to keep set aside before the convention.

I'm Back!

So the last few months have been full of... well... we'll call it "Life happenings" and I got off track for a bit dealing with certain things.  So Bludgeon #0 will not be out by end of January like I had hoped.  That being said I have started back working on it in earnest and now have a new goal of end of march. I should be able to get everything done by then, and also get my new printer, and possibly even get some prints up for sale of a few of the pics from BURLY #1.

Speaking of BURLY #1... we're down to the last few issues left for sale! The whole run of BURLY #1 was a less than perfect print as it was self produced on an old work-horse office printer... but these last issues have some more noticeable printing issues on the covers (mostly just some stray lines or minor image ghosting, nothing major, and the interiors are still intact). In lieu of this i have dropped the price by a dollar. So now they are only $4.

Thanks again to everyone who has purchased BURLY so far, and here's to moving forward and getting Bludgeon into your hands as well! :)

Home Again!

Back home from my 1800+ mile roadtrip! Thanks to all who bought my book while I was away from home (the last 3 weeks or so)... it totally helped out the road trip home from Oregon.

The good folks over at All Bear Magazine (link probably not NSFW) have given us a shout out on their blog, and given us space in their store page.

Had a great time up in Denver for Nan Desu Kan 2010... was awesome catching up with old friends and making new ones... attending panels from other comic creators and learning from them.

Also, thank you to everyone who purchased a book online from me while I was away. I have gotten back up and running now that i'm back in Albuquerque, and got all of them out in the mail to you today.

Have 4 of the 7 sections of the Burly Press website done... AND am about to go to print on BURLY #1 as soon as i hear back from a couple people about pricing. did a test print of the book and it is looking pretty awesome. I'm fairly proud of myself. :)
